If you aren’t excited about the all-new 2017 Infiniti Q60, now is the time. The long-awaited sport coupe has finally hit the production line. Unveiled in Detroit in January of this year, this promising replacement for the G series coupe and convertible has a few tricks up its sleeve to impress, that’s if the numbers aren’t enough to already make you curious.
What is for sure is that the new Infiniti Q60 Coupe is finally coming to Morrey Infiniti in Vancouver, and sooner than you think.
New Infiniti Q60 Models Headed for Vancouver Being Built Now
In fact, the Japanese manufacturer has announced that their Tochigi plant had officially kick-started the production of the Q60. Significant upgrades have been made to the production line to accommodate the technology behind the model, including deep body stamping as well as new machinery for the resin trunk lid.
A new lighting system has been installed for the quality control and inspection process and cameras have even been installed on the assembly line. It isn’t only about producing a high performance vehicle, it’s also about producing it right.
This is also the first application of resin on a steel frame, a technique that will allow the Infiniti designers more freedom in their designs. Would you believe that the plant has also been upgraded with a color-dedicated paint booth? The Dynamic Sandstone Red, a rich, deep red coat, requires a particular setup that involves both automated and hand applications. When the thickness of the paint is part of the controlled parameters in the production of the car, you know they mean business.
Two Engines for the Upcoming Q60 Coupe in Vancouver
This bold and sexy new sport coupe will be available with two powertrains; an entry-level 2.0L turbocharged four-cylinder engine developing 208 hp, which already is a promise of fun, but then you can also opt for the brand new 3.0L V6 twin-turbo engine, a beast rated at 300 hp and 350 lb-ft of torque. And if that’s not enough, you can opt for the Red S edition tuned up to push 400 hp. The rear-biased AWD system will add some extra grip to your Q60.
Add to this breathtaking design an equally elegant interior and this is was sport and luxury will do for you. We hope at this point that you are as excited as we are to see the 2017 Infiniti Q60 hit the roads and start turning heads. We are counting out the days to having this beauty on our floor!
